Bio

CV

I received a degree in Architecture at the Budapest University of Technology, and then I graduated from the MÉSZ-ÉTE Master School. I worked in design offices for ten years, after that I edited the magazine Magyar Építőművészet. With the scholarship of the MTA-Soros Foundation, I researched the dominant architectural ideas of the Horthy era, and my dissertation on changes in the concept of national architecture was made as part of this research. Most of my publications are related to Hungarian and Central European architecture between the two world wars, but I also dealt with the creators and works of the generation that started after 1945. I used to write a lot about street furniture, environmental culture, and lately the relationship between housing and urban planning is more exciting, especially the patterns that can provide lessons for today as well.
